Nissan Strengthened the dominance in Mexico
Mexico City, KompasOtomotif -Nissan Motor Company is trying to maintain its dominance as the largest car manufacturer in Mexico by way of adding a new factory, not just to satisfy the domestic market, but also exported to North America. "We need more capacity for North America and Yes, there are likely in the future as we announce the construction of a new factory in Mexico or the u.s.," commented Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn Nissan offered autonews (15/11/2012), without explaining the exact time.
Nissan is currently developing its third plant in Mexico worth 2 billion US dollars (USD 19.2 trillion) in the State of Aguascalientes, July 2012. During the first ten months of this year, Nissan has reportedly ramped up to 16 percent to 583.000 units, according to data the Association Mexico automotive industry. Nissan produces the Sentra and the Versa in Mexico.
Nissan's aggressiveness more visible because of his record productions and the highest exports in this year. Sean McAlinden, Economist of Automotive Research in Michigan says, the brand is based in Yokohama (Japan) it has spent 7.8 billion U.S. dollar investment ($ 75 billion) in the last two years.
